What is Therapeutic Massage?

Therapeutic Massage can be gentle or deep depending on the stage of injury or healing that you are in. Your massage therapist will develop an effective treatment to address the concerns and/or pain that you are feeling and will adjust the treatment accordingly as you recover and relax with treatment.

Benefits of Massage Therapy

  • Pain Relief
  • Improved Immune System Function
  • Improved Flexibility
  • Improved Range of Motion
  • Improved Circulation
  • Decreased Muscle Tension
  • Relaxation and Stress Reduction
  • Decreased Scar Tissue
  • Increased Lymphatic Drainage

Through the manipulation of superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue your massage therapist enhances and promotes your physical function, healing, relaxation, and well-being. Massage is a natural way of improving and maintaining health. An average massage therapy appointment includes some assessment and discussion, followed by treatment and usually recommendations for home exercises and/or return for follow-up treatment.

In addition to Classical Swedish Massage Techniques we also offer:

  • Deep Tissue
  • Cupping
  • Myofascial Release
  • Suikodo
  • RAPID  Adhesion Release Technique

RAPID Adhesion Release, is a new soft tissue, movement based, therapeutic technique that addresses the central nervous system’s role in releasing tension and restrictions within muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and nerves. When adhesions occur between layers of tissue it can cause discomfort, decrease range of motion, elicit muscle weakness and tightness or cause nerve entrapment. By breaking up adhesions we can help decrease or in some cases get rid of the symptoms they bring about.
