Sarah Farquharson completed her Bachelor of Kinesiology degree at Acadia University in 2006 followed by Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University in 2009. Since graduation, Sarah has completed a wide variety of manual therapy, orthopedic and acupuncture/dry needling courses. She believes there is great value in educating patients about their specific injury or concern. Taking a patient centered approach, she will collaborate with you to develop individualized treatment plans that combine hands-on techniques with a specific home exercise program.
Sarah continues to be involved academically. She has been a lab instructor in the Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy for 5 years; teaching exercise physiology and movement and exercise science. Sarah also works casually in in-patient orthopedics at Capital Health to keep particularly relevant with post-op care.
Sarah has a passion for living a well-balanced and healthy lifestyle. She played varsity soccer at Acadia and Dalhousie for 5 years, and currently plays on a local team and coaches at the provincial level.
Sarah is a member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in both the Orthopedic and Sports Divisions. Sarah received the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Pediatric award in 2009.
