About Fiona Beaton
Fiona (she/her) graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology. She then pursued her passion for physiotherapy at Glasgow Caledonian University in Glasgow, Scotland graduating with a Master of Science in Physiotherapy in 2024. Throughout her masters Fiona has gained experience in a variety of physiotherapy settings such as musculoskeletal, orthopaedics, neurological rehabilitation, and pelvic health. She was the student representative for her class in her second year and represented the GCU IPT-HOPE Student Network in association with the World Physiotherapy Association. Fiona is a passionate new physiotherapy graduate. She follows an evidence-based approach to practice and is committed to providing goal-oriented care to help people stay healthy and happy doing what they love. Musculoskeletal, orthopaedics and pelvic health are areas she wishes to pursue and specialise in upon obtaining her license in Canada this fall.
In the interim, Fiona is working as a part of our health care team in kinesiologist and administrative duties before transitioning into practice as physiotherapist here at the clinic!
Outside of work Fiona enjoys keeping active and spending time outdoors. She loves running and has a particular interest in treating the runner population. You may also find her climbing and strength training at Seven Bays, skiing in Wentworth after a snowstorm or hiking around the trails of Nova Scotia.
